Civil War Reenactment

Unfortunately, we were closer to the confederate side so I had more pictures of that side and their flag. I did think the little boy carrying the flag was cute and couldn't resist taking several pictures of him, even though he was carrying that flag.

Since we are studing the Civil War right now in history, we took advantage of a Civil War reenactment in a nearby town. It was very interesting to see how a battle could have taken place. You could even feel the ground shake when the cannons were fired. Little m didn't like the loud sounds very much. We did enjoy seeing history in action!

Valentine's Day

Still alive

I have some lettuce in my garden covered up with some plastic and even after all the snow and below freezing temperatures. It is still alive!

Girl Scouts try a little French cooking

I think these girls love to cook! At this meeting they made several French recipes. Tarts, rice pudding and baguettes! They said it was all yummy!
