While we had extreme drought and high temperature , I am still getting a few things from my garden. I harvested all of my carrots and beets. This was the best year I have ever had for tomatoes and carrots. My carrots have never grown so long before. The soil must have been just right for them this year. I have put away another 25 bags of diced tomatoes in the freezer. I have only a few more tomatoes still left in the garden, but they are huge! My okra is about done. I lost all of my pumpkin plants due to the evil squash bugs. Now the only thing I have left to do is just try to keep my strawberries alive!
