little boy

Little m is growing up so fast and will be turning six in July. "gasp". He is a deep thinker and I have love his questions and the cute things he says. Here are a few things he has said in the last few months.

** While I was cutting brambles in the woods one day, Little m says, "I don't know why God made these brambles! I would get rid of them in the whole universe and then they would be extinct, right mama?"

**Then his brain went to the next question... "What did they put on Jesus head?" I said a crown of thorns and he thought and said, "Like these brambles?" I said no a lot worse. Then he asks, "why would they do that?"

**One day we were reading a book about giraffes and we found out that every giraffe has a different pattern of spots. So I said that is like everyone in the world looks different too. He then leaned over to me and said, "did you know mom that I am black and you are white?" He said it like he was informing me of something I might not be aware of! LOL

**One day while we were in the garden, we discovered a ton of ladybugs. He was having a fun time watching them. He cracked up watching them walk across some string thinking they were walking a tightrope. Then he found two of them mating and laughed. I said they were mating and he said "oh that one is laying eggs on the other one." I said well not yet. The female will do that later. LOL "Birds and the bees" lesson in the garden!

FIAR-Amber on the Mountain

Our latest FIAR book that we 'rowed'

We studied mountains and here we use a towel to show how sometime when two pieces of land move toward each other land can be pushed up to make a mountain.

Here we did an experiment to show the effect of air and water on sand, soil, small rock and larger rock. (erosion)

the air moved the sand rather easily

air didn't have much effect on the larger rock

The water only moved the small stones just a little bit

Mom's weekend!

My dad and little m checking out a secret hold under this board!

Took my mom and dad out to eat for Mother's Day. (and it was at my favorite restaurant Genghis Grill) Yummy. Then we went by the church where I went to church for the 1st time when I was 10 days old and took a few pictures. Then my dad drove us by my first house. I snapped a couple of pictures of it.
