Pinwheels (puppies) for peace

The puppies had to help us put out our Pinwheels for Peace on International Day Of Peace.  We tried to give them some food so we could sneak off to the road, but they were on to us.  LOL

homeless puppies

We came home today and found two little puppies had been dumped off by our house.  This little puppy was friendly and would come around us.  The other one ran away and hid under our shed.  We did see him once and he growled and was shaking all over.  I am thinking he might be sick.   I know this one has fleas and looks a little shabby.    Little m is really wanting to keep this one.  He is really cute.

Lemon Dusting clothes

I made some homemade furniture polish I saw off pinterest this past weekend.   Here are the directions:

1 Cup Vinegar
1 Cup Water
1 tsp Olive Oil
1 Lemon Rind
2-3 microfiber cloths
Jar with a lid

Directions: Mix the vinegar, water, and oil, in a bowl. Soak your microfiber cloths in the solution, squeeze out excess water, and place in the jar with lemon rinds wrapped around.

back in time at Epcot "The Land" Ride

I remembered the above picture of my sister when we were in line at the "The Land" in Epcot waving her hands, so I had kbug do the same when we were in the same spot.  LOL

Books I just read

Three excellent books I just finished reading....

Unveiled!

Saturn and I went to see a performance of the one women play called "Unveiled"  It was so awesome!   She did a collection of five Muslim woman in modern-day America.  Afterwards there was a question and answer time.

School fun

We started learning about Ancient History this year.  We first talked about how we find out about the past.  Such as read books, ask people what happened.  If we can't do that then we can turn to archaeology.  So I made him a little dig to do of his own.  He thought that was pretty cool.

This week we learned about nomads and cave painting.  Little put on his "nomad" clothes and tried a little cave painting of our own.

Science for little me!  We  made some "rubber" balls out of corn starch, water, glue, borax and food coloring.  They really do bounce!
