Film camp

Filming a scene

The kids on the set.

The girls had their picture made with Darryl Cox who starred in North and South, which the girls loved watching.

Arriving by limo

that's a wrap

Getting ready to watch the film

Miss Kbug coming down the red carpet for her premiere of their film "Cheating History"!

Saturn making her way down the red carpet.

The whole cast and crew of the film

The girls had the opportunity to go to film camp where they learned how to act in front of a camera. They helped develop the story and was able to film the whole film in a week. Then the camp provided a limo to bring the kids to the premiere where they walked down a red carpet before watching the film.

Grandpa's house

My grandfather would watch the world go by through this window.

My grandmother's dresser. I can so remember sitting up there playing with her makeup and jewelery. I have one memory where my aunt who was only five years older than me would put pantyhose over our head and pretend to be robbers and we would rob my grandmother. LOL

The bed my grandpa used when he was a boy and then used again at the end of his life.

We recently cleaned out my grandfather's old house. We had to throw away a lot of stuff but it sure did look so much better when it was done. It was neat to be able to see my grandpa through his things that he kept and what was important to him. I think he must have kept every card anyone had ever gave him. He also had some valentine cards from when he was about 11 or so years old. Those were really neat to see.

Harry Potter 7 part 2

The girls watched the last Harry Potter movie with their cousins. They did a great job on including most of the important elements from the book. It was a great ending to a wonderful and enjoyable series. So glad we Keith and I got to share it with our kids. Can't wait to read it and watch the movies with little m!

Camel Back Hike in South Dakota

Our last morning in Manderson some of us got up at 4am to hike up Camel back to watch the sun rise! Pretty cool! But it did make for a very long drive back home.
